Craig Werner

Craig Werner is the author of A Change Is Gonna Come: Music, Race & the Soul of America, and We Gotta Get Out of This Place: The Soundtrack of Vietnam, co-authored with Doug Bradley, which won Rolling Stone's Music Book of the Year Award in 2015.  Professor Emeritus of Afro-American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he has worked with community education projects involving K-12 teachers, veterans, low-income adults, and education in the prisons.
